Onefootball is one of the world´s most popular football network, with more than 14 million downloads and 3 million daily active users.
When I joined the team, the company didn’t have a platform-specific UI for Android.
One of my first roles was to take over the responsibility of bringing the Android app one step forward.
Today Onefootball is rewarded by Google as Editor’s Choice and among the Best apps of 2017 on the PlayStore.

With a strong focus on the mobile market the company has always been one of the first to approach new technologies and platform specific features. An example are Google Now cards and Wear OS 1.0.

It has been an interesting challenge to bring the high amount of information available in Onefootball on the broad range of Android devices and resolutions.
I’ve been showcasing together with @lehtimaeki how we applied different responsive patterns at the Droidcon Turin 2018 and AppDevCon Amsterdam.
